This cool, Sci-Fi inspired sport model from Estes features a plastic nose cone, laser-cut wood parts, waterslide decals and parachute recovery. This should be a fun and challenging build for the experienced modeler! The completed model stands just over 27 inches tall. And it reminds us of the Discovery One from 2001...  and that's a good thing...

What you'll need to build this model:

Scissors, pencil, ruler, fine sandpaper, yellow glue, plastic cement, hobby knife, wax paper, sand block, masking tape, primer (white), paint (silver, white) and clear coat (optional). (Tools, construction and finishing supplies not included.)

What else you'll need to fly this model:

Electronic launch system (depending on your engine choice, you may need one capable of igniting a composite engine); launch pad with 3/16" rod; recovery wadding; engines (see list of recommended engines above).
