We recently lost Gleda Estes, co-founder of Estes Industries. Vern and Gleda founded Estes Industries in 1958, and from it's modest beginnings we have the basis for the hobby we all enjoy today over six decades later. You can read more about Gleda and her life on the Estes website here.
Gleda was also a long-time advocate for education, and in this vein a scholarship fund for young women who are pursuing degrees in STEM fields has been created in her name through the National Association of Rocketry. We will be donating a percentage of all our retail sales during the month of August to the Gleda M. Estes Scholarship Fund in her honor.
